Testing the new Victoria Line trains

In early 2007, I was involved with monitoring of the on track testing of the first new Victoria Line train at Bombardier's Litchurch Lane works in Derby.

The project is known as the Victoria Line Upgrade (VLU) and the first eight car train undertook an extensive period of testing on the test line within the works.

After three months the train was shipped off to Northumberland Park depot to continue the testing on LUL infrastructure.
