Zefiro high speed train - FS

Italian train operator Trenitalia ordered 50 V300ZEFIRO variant in September 2010

The trains were built in Italy be AnsaldoBreda (now Hitachi) but the bogies were made in Germany and designed in Derby UK.

Known as ETR1000 Frecciarosso (Red Arrow) the trains can run at up to 400km/h but are presnetly limited to 360km/h

I was involved in early 2018 with an investigation into oil leakage from the bogies' hydraulic dampers
