The Track Recording Unit (TRU)

Owned by Network Rail but operated by DB Schenker, the TRU was purpose-built and utilised the final class 150/1 unit from the original batch built at York. The TRU comprises vehicles DB999600 and DB999601 and is designed to monitor and record track geometry.

The author was involved with the fitting and monitoring of video recording equipment to the TRU.
