Commissioning 1984-90

In the spring of 1984 I joined the newly-formed 'Commissioning Section' within the DM&EE at Derby. 

This was the time when the new generation of traction and rolling stock were being trialled and introduced and we were heavily involved with a number of the prototypes and the production units.
